*Some spoilers*

So here we have an interesting little side story from Shuu Tsukiyama's high school days when he met photographer, Chie Hori.

Story:

There isn't much to this story but it was interesting to say the least - it revolves around Tsukiyama meeting this "oddball", Chie Hori, who randomly takes a picture of him feasting on a meal one night; Tsukiyama's immediate response to discovering her was to devour her however he is distracted by her camera flashes as she takes some pictures, then all of a sudden Tsukiyama develops some lima syndrome and decides to "befriend" her instead which was an interesting choice.

As expected, with ...

This OVA i my opinion did better than the first. It did the better in the aspect of character development a the same time keeping me, the audience, entertained.

The main character being Shu Tsukiyama, I enjoyed learning more about a character I liked although at the same time he can be the most creepiest character of the entire anime. It explained well enough to understand the feelings of Tsukiyama the ghoul and how we would interact with Chie Hori the girl who mysteriously appeared in his life. He demonstrated that unlike other ghouls he didnt just feed on humans just for the sake of satisfying ...

Tokyo Ghoul: "Pinto" is the second standalone OVA which follows the story of a ghoul and his "pet".

Personally, I think the story for this OVA is great! It is most certainly more impressive then √A or even the first season. Unfortunately, the art and character development are nothing special. The interactions between Shuu Tsukiyama and Chie Hori are boring. You don't really feel a connection even though that is clearly what is being pushed, a strange friend-like relationship. The settings shown are really immersive. I have to give credit where credit is due for all of the Tokyo Ghoul series. Very atmospheric.

For something that ...

How is it that these side episode managed to be more interesting to me than anything the main series was trying to sell?

The camera girl is instantly compelling as a character, and probably for similar reasons to the creepy gourmet guy you become fascinated with the way she sees the world. It's all just photography and watching things through a lens, which may be a pretty blunt metaphor but it works for this setting. My favorite moment had to be when he was in the process of throwing her out a window to her death and her only reaction was "this would make a cool ...

*MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD*

This was a fun OVA that I thoroughly enjoyed. While the art and soundtrack wasn't really anything special, the story itself was enjoyable and it was interesting to see Tsukiyama's backstory, as he was one of the most enjoyable characters from the original stories.

The characters were interesting, and I was glad to hear that Horie makes appearances in the main series. The nurse was an interesting, if clearly troubled character, and I find it interesting that her death is actually referenced in the main series.

All in all, this was an interesting look into the world of Tokyo Ghoul which fits well ...

Tokyo Ghoul: "Pinto" (2015)

Again like with the other spinoff 'Jack' we have a side story that is at a level higher than the main show in my opinion. Once again if the show was to meet such a standard it would be soaring much higher.

The story with this one is a bit messed up inside of the ghoul world, especially with the hospital story conclusion. Although like most things it is a precursor to not such a happy ending. A good thing to see was more of a backstory to Chie Hori since she is overly cute and was also good to see Ikaru ...

Tokyo Ghoul: "Pinto" was 25 minutes of enjoyment. If it was longer then it would have probably got a higher score.
As always, I going to try my best to not give any spoilers.
The review will talk about Story, Art, Sound and Music, Character’s, Overall Enjoyment and Overall opinion.
Story
The Story is nothing special, but it makes sense unlike the story of Tokyo Ghoul Re. it mainly focuses on Tsukiyama, Shuu (a Character that was in Tokyo Ghoul (Season 1), Tokyo Ghoul Root A (Season 2), Tokyo Ghoul Re (Season 3) and Tokyo Ghoul Re second season (Season 4)) school days were we get ...
